FAQ's

**Check back often!**

**Information may be added or changed!**

Q-Is your store open yet?

A-No, as of 3/2026 I'm still looking for a location! Once I have a location I assume I will allow a month or two to set up the shop and take appointments for initial consignment intake. See my Facebook page for the most up to date information.

Q-What materials will be accepted?

A-BEFORE THE STORE OPENS- Only preschool-12th grade educational curriculum and related literature will be accepted. This is to ensure that we have enough room for what we are accepting. WE WILL UPDATE THIS LIST AS TIME GOES ON! see below!

AFTER THE STORE OPENS-we are hopeful we will be able to accept math manipulatives, science kits, equipment such as microscopes and scientific/graphing calculators, educational games, maybe even children's books, Bible studies, puzzles and Legos some day! I have big dreams!

Q-Is there anything that won't be accepted?

A-Items with excessive writing/highlights, photocopied, damage (torn, excessive damage to spine/cover, pages missing) stains, smells will not be accepted.

Q-How many items can I bring in at a time?

A- BEFORE THE STORE OFFICIALLY OPENS-there will be no limit in the curriculum and related literature you can bring in.

AFTER THE STORE OPENS-I may have to set a limit of 20-30 items per appointment depending on how quickly I am processing drop offs well I balance my duties as a new store owner.

Q-Can I just stop by to drop of items?

A-BEFORE THE STORE OPENS- I will require an appointment for each drop off. Click here to set an appointment. As I become more adept at processing I will open up more appointments.

AFTER THE STORE OPENS-I will probably still request that you set an appointment. You can TRY to stop by and see if I'm available to process your items, but depending on the situation in the store at the time, I might suggest making an appointment.

A little prep before drop off goes a long way!

*Please put your books in small/medium cardboard boxes that can close and write your name on the outside of the box. (Don't have any boxes? Check with us, we probably have some!)

*Please write your initials on the top corner inside the front cover.

Q-How much will I make as a consignor?

A-The consignor will receive 50% of the sales price of their items, minus any sales taxes, discounts and fees.

Q-Who sets the prices? The consignor or the store?

A- The store will set the prices, based on factors such as:

-is it the newest edition from the publisher?

-what condition is it in? is there any writing/highlighting? cosmetic damage to cover?

-is there a high demand for this publisher/curriculum?

-does it come with supplemental materials and can be sold as a set?

-usually current edition curriculum in "like new/excellent/very good" condition will be priced between 75%-50% of the prices posted on Rainbow Resource/Christian Book Distributors websites.

Q-How will I get paid?

A-Consignors who live in Putnam County or any surrounding counties MUST come into the shop with proper ID for payout. Anytime Melanie is on location you can get paid in cash, check or Venmo transfer. You can use some or all of your account balance as store credit to pay for your purchase anytime during store hours!

Consignors who live outside of Putnam county and surrounding counties can contact the store to request a check to be mailed. A fee of $2.00 will be subtracted from the total for processing.

Q-How long is the consignment period? What happens to my books once the consignment period is over?

A-The consignment period ends 18 months after the books are processed and put on the shelf. You will receive an email telling when the books are processed and the end of the consignment period . At the time that we set up your account you will choose "return or donate" for any books that are not sold by the end of the consignment period. If you choose "return" you will need to pick up your books within 7 business days of the end of the consignment period or they will become store property.

Q-Do you accept college textbooks?

A-at this point no, but I am open to exploring that in the future, probably only for Gen Ed. requirements that High School students might take as Dual Enrollment credit.

Q-What is your return policy?

A-Items can be returned for store credit within 7 business days with receipt. Item must be in the same saleable condition as when it left the store.

Q-I'm just exploring the idea of homeschooling. Any suggestions about how to get started?

A-I highly recommend checking out the HSLDA website and looking under the section for your state to know how to legally homeschool in your area.

If you are interested in using an umbrella school, check out Daniel 1 Academy or Exodus Christian Academy (both are local in Cookeville) to give you guidance about next steps!

If you are looking for curriculum suggestions, look for Cathy Duffy's homeschool reviews website! Then come buy the books from Wonder & Wisdom!
